CEI makes opportunistic investments in targeted retail development and office projects.

SANTA MONICA RETAIL
Wilshire Boulevard Restaurants

In 2008 we acquired an underperforming single-tenant retail project in a prime location of Santa Monica, California. The development team worked with an accomplished local architect and general contractor to develop brand new retail spaces accommodating two regional restaurant tenants.

Citibank

We invested in a retail building on a strategic corner on Wilshire Boulevard in Santa Monica across the street from a Whole Foods market. As part of the purchase, we negotiated a buy-out of the existing non-credit tenants and signed a new long term lease with Citibank.

Gloveworx

We invested in a retail building on Wilshire Boulevard in Santa Monica and are currently leasing to Gloveworx, a boxing fitness studio.

SANTA MONICA RETAIL
Capital One

401 Broadway is a new retail development boasting a superb location across Broadway Street from Santa Monica Place, an upscale shopping mall located at the south end of the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica. The building features approximately 8,400 square feet of prime retail space.

Sylmar Grocery Anchored Center

In 2008, we acquired a 150,000 square foot Ralphs/CVS/Big Lots anchored shopping center in Sylmar, California. At acquisition, the rents were significantly below market. As the retail market began to stabilize, we re-tenanted the majority of the in-line and pad space.

6th & W Office

Acquired in 2012, we transformed an underperforming 1920’s mixed use office over retail project on a prime corner of Koreatown into a thriving creative office building with fully renovated retail spaces.
