Message from the founder and CEO

Our company, founded in 2001, saw an opportunity in the multi-family and retail value-add space and began aggressively acquiring projects primarily in Southern California.  After acquisition, we systematically rehabilitated these properties and raised rents to market levels.  As we witnessed the equity and debt markets become overheated in 2006 and 2007, we began disposing of our assets, liquidating the vast majority of our portfolio by the second quarter of 2007.

For the past three years, we have been on the sidelines, waiting for the right opportunity to enter the market.  We began purchasing assets again in the fourth quarter of 2010 as equity and debt started to come back into the markets. Our current strategy is to continue acquiring assets in the value-add space throughout Southern California and to develop Class-A multi-family and mixed-use properties in strong infill locations.  We primarily acquire our projects with trusted debt sources and joint venture equity.
